Travelling to Cracow

By plane

Kraków Airport (KRK), is situated around 10 km to the Cracow city, in a town called Balice. There are multiple ways to get to the conference venue: by train and tram, by bus, by taxi or by car.

By train and tram

Kraków Airport train station is located near the passenger terminal and connected with Cracow by regional railways: Koleje Małopolskie. The trains from the airport run every 30 to 60 minutes (depending on the time of day) and stop at Kraków Main Station (Kraków Główny). The route takes around 20 minutes. The city centre is about 10 km away from the conference venue, so it is best to continue the journey by tram.

The tram stop “Teatr Słowackiego” is located 400 meters from the Kraków Main Station. You need to go through Galeria Krakowska and head to this tram stop. Trams number 52 and 77 go directly to Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of Jagiellonian University at “Norymberska” stop.

By bus
During the day, bus line 300 (KMK Kraków) connects the airport with “Os. Podwawelskie” which is close to the city centre. It departs every 30 minutes and the journey time is approximately 25 minutes. At night, bus 902 runs hourly from the airport to the “Teatr Słowackiego” stop. Buses leave every 20 to 60 minutes.

By taxi or car
It is also possible to take a taxi or rent a car from the airport. The journey from the airport to the city centre takes approximately 30 minutes and is about 17 km away. Route from the airport to the conference venue is similar.

By Train

Kraków Główny, the city’s main station, is served by trains from most Polish destinations, as well as from the capital cities of neighbouring countries. There are direct trains from Berlin, Vienna, Prague, Budapest and Bratislava. Many of the longer journeys are overnight, with sleeping cars an additional option. As above, the best way to get to the conference venue is by tram. At night, bus 662 runs every 60 minutes from “Teatr Słowackiego” stop to “Norymberska” stop, near the conference venue.
